Energy Performance Project Manager
The work will call for a variety of different skills, including managing assets, effectively interpreting data, and guiding clients on their road to net zero. This role will work closely with property owners looking to improve the sustainable performance of their portfolios. They are looking for a professional with a holistic view on sustainability and hands-on experience developing procedures for energy and carbon reduction on properties of all types. The job will involve working in their Sustainability & Climate Change team translating client needs into innovative solutions, project delivery and development.
Job responsibilities include:
- Project managing assessments and decarbonisation projects with and for clients.
- Developing implementation measures to improve a building’s EPC and reduce energy consumption.
- Managing sub-consultants to deliver an ambitious EPC rollout for a number of asset managers
- Modelling of a buildings energy performance to produce Non-Domestic and Domestic Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs)
- Managing EPC rollout and Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES) assessments and providing strategic risk reduction advise to clients
- Analysing and reporting sustainability data on monthly, quarterly and annual routines to underpin our client’s sustainability programmes
Are you right for the job?
They’d love to hear from you if you have:
- Consultant or Senior Consultant level experience of managing energy related projects and providing high quality client advice on decarbonisation
- Experience of working with asset managers (desirable)
- Excellent project management skills, able to deal with complexity and client demands
- Experience of giving energy and decarbonisation advice and/or of delivering EPCs for domestic and commercial properties
- Experience of IES, TAS or Design Builder (desirable)
- An understanding of the wider context of sustainability from a policy and regulatory perspective within the property and real estate sector

Sustainability Consultant (Sustainable Buildings)
This role is perfect for a consultant looking to make the next step in their career. It will allow you to build on experience in developing energy efficiency and decarbonisation strategies. It involves working on high profile decarbonisation projects, net zero strategies and decarbonisation work which will call upon both strategic and technical skills. As part of this, you will be asked to direct resources effectively as well as undertake some business development activities. Each and every day will present new challenges, such as developing entirely new methodologies, as you work along with other teams.
Job responsibilities include:
- Developing decarbonisation strategies, scenarios and pathways for clients
- Contributing to feasibility studies related to energy efficiency, low carbon HVAC, low-carbon heat and on-site renewables
- Engaging with and presenting to national and international clients and partners throughout project development and delivery
- Undertaking site surveys, energy and net zero audits of commercial, retail, or industrial buildings
- Modelling energy profiles to assess performance, as well as for low carbon and renewable technologies (e.g. PV, heat pumps, etc) including financial / economic assessments and practical advice on implementation
Are you right for the job?

- Technical knowledge of renewable energy and low-carbon technologies for the generation of electricity and heat
- Technical knowledge of building services
- Degree qualified in a technical discipline
- Chartered Engineer/ Chartered Energy Manager or progressing to chartership desirable
