The Property Energy Professionals Association (PEPA) Annual Conference returns on Monday 29 June 2026, bringing together professionals from across the energy assessment, retrofit and building performance sectors to discuss the policies, regulations and innovations shaping the future of the industry.
The PEPA Annual Conference provides a valuable opportunity to hear directly from policymakers, gain insight into upcoming changes and connect with others working across the energy efficiency sector. This year’s conference will take place at the East Midlands Conference Centre in Nottingham.
Topics on the Agenda
The conference programme will feature presentations from Matt Carey (Director) and Harrison Cutler, alongside members of their teams from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) and the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ).
Key topics will include:
- EPC reform, including conventions, minimum evidence requirements and pre-lodgement checks
- MEES and Non-Domestic MEES developments
- The Warm Homes Plan and the role of the Warm Homes Agency
Attendees will also hear from Patrick Mason, Head of Heat in Buildings Assessment Policy and Technical Team, who will provide an update from the Scottish Government.
Flood Performance Certificates Pilot
One of the newer topics on this year’s agenda is a presentation from Resilico, introducing a pilot programme for Flood Performance Certificates (FPCs).
Designed to sit alongside EPCs for both domestic and non-domestic properties, FPCs aim to provide property owners and occupiers with a clearer understanding of flood resilience and risk. The pilot presents a potential opportunity for energy assessors to expand and diversify their service offering, with attendees able to learn more about the initiative and register their interest in taking part.
Industry Updates and Discussion
The conference will also include an update from PEPA on the Association’s work since the last annual conference, highlighting current priorities, achievements and the developments expected to influence the sector in the months ahead.
The day will conclude with PEPA’s popular panel session featuring accreditation schemes, giving attendees the opportunity to ask questions and get involved.
