As we enter September, the PEPA Conference 2024 fast approaches. Energy Assessors nationwide eagerly look forward to the updates, talks and lectures that will be shared throughout the event.

Who is PEPA?

The Property Energy Professionals Association (PEPA) is a trade body which represents accreditation schemes that are responsible for the provision of Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs), Display Energy Certificates (DECs), and Air Conditioning Inspection Reports (ACIRs). PEPA plays a pivotal role in the implementation of PAS 2035 standards, which include the work of Retrofit Assessors and Coordinators under the TrustMark Quality Scheme.

PEPA is dedicated to a quality agenda and in working with all interested parties and stakeholders to ensure EPCs, DECs and ACIRs, and the methodologies behind them have increased visibility, are regarded as important, and they act as a catalyst in improving energy efficiency and reducing carbon emissions as we move towards a Net Zero future.

Andrew Parkin, PEPA Chairman

What Can We Expect From PEPA Conference 2024?

The upcoming PEPA Conference will be packed with valuable insights and discussions. Attendees can look forward to hearing from speakers from DESNZ, MHCLG, and Professor Richard Fitton. Also, Alicia Mountain from One Bank Mortgages will share the lenders’ perspective on climate transition. The conference will cover the topic of retrofit too, with surveyors Adam Santos and Adrian Drummond set to discuss their views on the subject.

Also, this year marks the launch of an interesting new addition. For the first time, the event will include a session focused on mental health and well-being. Furthermore, the conference will also explore what’s happening in the industry post-election. In the afternoon, attendees can benefit from a panel session where they can ask questions.
